Freight Auditor

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Freight Auditor to join our team. This role is responsible for auditing carrier invoices, approving payments, and working with carriers and internal teams to resolve billing issues.
The ideal candidate has experience in auditing, freight billing, accounts payable, or a related accounting function. You should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, working with different systems, and identifying issues while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Responsibilities
· Audit and process freight invoices accurately and efficiently.
· Work with carriers to review aging reports and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Establish and maintain effective communication with internal teams and external partners.
· Help create and document standard operating procedures.
· Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
· Learn and efficiently operate multiple software systems on a daily basis.
· Support the implementation of new systems and processes as needed.
· Collaborate with the integration team to identify and resolve system or process issues.
· Identify operational issues and recommend process improvements.
· Manage an assigned portfolio of accounts and support various cross-functional projects.
Qualifications
· 2+ years of experience in auditing, freight billing, accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a related accounting function.
· Transportation and/or freight auditing experience is preferred.
· Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
· Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
· Experience with transportation management or accounting software is a plus.
· Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
· Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
· Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems and processes.
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
